The Parnitha National Park, due to the short distance from Athens, its special values, its natural landscapes, the high forests, the variety of vegetation, the relief, the many springs, etc. is an ideal landscape for environmental education activities. There are large recreation areas (Bafi, Messiano Nero, Paleochori, Ag. Triada, Platanos Tatoiou etc.) which have the appropriate infrastructure for food and play, in order to provide high quality forest recreation to the inhabitants of the Attica basin.
